I visited Graza on my last trip to Poland. Her roof is leaking, the entire house smells of mildew and the paint is peeling of the walls. There is heat and electricity in two rooms, and she is cooking on a gas cooker in her living room. Having only her disability pension to support her and her son, it is just not possible to make ends meet. She saved three years for her son to go to summer camp for one week. When she was taken to a supermarket by one of the volunteers from the aid organization I followed, she was completely shocked. She had never seen so much food.
